Monday is almost over, but I thought I’d go ahead and share Monday’s Motivation tip from Fine Art Tips on Facebook.
My followers enjoyed this photo of me painting in France, and the motivational words, “Do more of what makes you happy!” These words are simple, yet profound. I hope you can find time to do more of what makes you happy. I am working on that too…
Do you know what makes you happy? Leave a comment and let us know what makes YOU smile.

Maybe I’m easily pleased, but it doesn’t take much to make me happy. Of course, art would be first in that category. Usually, it is the free-form ‘non-billable’ art time I like most: collage, found objects, putting typography in…in essence, playing like a kid. During many of these ‘play’ times, I’ve discovered new bodies of work, new ways of doing things, and new media.
Aside from art (if there even is such a thing), I love movies. Many times there’s a message I take a way, or it’s just ‘going along for the ride’ that makes me happy. With movies have to come coffee, an overcast day, and a little chill in the air.
My faith in God gives me joy (that unshakable ‘happiness’), but as far as happenstance and things here on earth, those are a few. Oh…and monkeys.
Hello Christine,
I love your comment, and I am like that too. I can find happiness in the littlest of things. Yes, our beautiful God/Good is the source of our happiness…
Cheers,
Lori
PS. Did you see my recent post with a monkey??? 😉
